Preferred Method: HHAeXchange Mobile App
Firstcare Homehealth LLC encourages all DCWs/Caregivers to clock in and clock out using the HHAeXchange Mobile App whenever possible.
If a DCW/Caregiver cannot use the HHAeXchange Mobile App, the caregiver may use an approved alternative EVV method, such as:
Consumer landline phone
Consumer internet phone service
Approved FOB Device
These options must be approved and set up by Firstcare Homehealth LLC before use. Pennsylvania DHS recognizes EVV systems and telephony-based verification as part of EVV processes, and HHAeXchange also provides mobile app, phone, and FOB-related EVV options.
FOB Device Use Policy
A FOB Device may only be used after the agency completes setup and approval. The employee must contact Firstcare Homehealth LLC before using a FOB Device.
The FOB Device will be secured by the agency at the consumerβs address. The DCW/Caregiver may use the FOB Device only after all required setup, acknowledgment, and placement procedures are completed.
The FOB Device must remain at the approved consumer location and must not be removed, moved, shared, or tampered with.
All EVV records must accurately capture:
Type of service performed
Individual receiving the service
Individual providing the service
Date of service
Location of service delivery
Time the service begins and ends
